I Paper feeding methods

There are two ways for paper feeding as direct and retreating types.

i. Rotary knob is located on the back of its body. It can be pushed forwards 5mm by hand. Turn 90 degree in anti-clockwise then pull backwards, it will switch to retreating paper feeding method.

ii. If you want to switch to direct paper feeding, just push the knob forwards about 25mm by hand, then turn 90 degree in clockwise.

Business Card, name card or paper in 250 pounds below ordinary paper can use direct paper feeding. If the paper is too thick that can’t suck in, you can choose retreating paper feeding.

Note: when in retreating paper feeding, paper block device on paper collecting claw shall adjust to the thickness of a piece of paper. If the space is too small, the sucking won’t be smooth; while too large it will suck two pieces of paper.

Coining adjustment

There are one-side, four pressure plate corners and overall three coining adjustments.

One-side adjustment is used when one of the four angles on the back of pressure plate is imbalance. When make adjustment, you should firstly loosen the screw of pressure plate corners, then move the pressure plate corners. Moving up is light and moving down is heavy. Four pressure plate corners are the same. When the adjustment complete, return the pressure plate with hand pressing on the four corners. Check its balance, or it will lead to offset of layout.

Overall adjustment knob is used when the writing is unclear after printing which maybe because of light coining. Pull the knob downwards in clockwise is light coining. Pull upward in anti-clockwise is heavy coining.

power and operation

There are 110V and 220V two kinds of power supplies. Needed cooperated power marked on the sign right below. There is inch switch in addition.

Inch switch will stop the machine when paper feeding is over, or the first process absorber failed to send paper to the second absorber.


II Commissioning Instructions


ⅰ. This automatic business card hot stamping machine is divided into the upper and lower levels type with the upper level being the host and the lower the air pump box.

a. First, safely place air pump operation box, then set 4 SHIMs on the box where set the host. Set the main frame body on SHIMs, note that host base must set in appropriation size with operation box. Left side of host base shall be trim with the same side of operation box, and then install paper stacker.

b. install vacuum pumps under the operation box, wiring after the settlement. Carry the host reserving pumps wire from the prepared hole of operation box above to the reserved pumps electric wire below, and then connect with male female set. In the same way, carry reserved red bump duct via prepared hole to connect with the copper head of upper hand bump, then installment complete.

ⅱ. There are 110V and 220V two kinds of power supplies. Needed cooperated power marked on the sign right below. Please note whether the power is matching with needed power when plug in.

ⅲ. Please directly insert power plug into the socket on the wall. Don't use a temporary extension cord in case of lower voltage which causes operation inability.

vi. Circuit control problems

a. print one piece and stop once. The cause is short-circuits of wire in log cabin, because of wire coat was worn out by shell of the machine. Or inch switch has short-circuits.

b. continue turns to inch or inch turns to continue, because crop switch is broken and need change.

c. the machine stops when in ironing, and all switch do no work, need take the iron down and restart. If it still stop, check Fuse, 5A or 10A is burnout r not. If not, check power line or plug.

d. when there’s paper in operation, but it wont stop automatically, check stopcock of log cabin is locked or not. Besides, check the indicator of inch switch above log cabin is loose or not. If yes, please open coining head in full, and turn the indicator at six o’clock position and tighten it.

III. Gold stamping procedure


i. Plug in the power and make sure power supply is 110V or 220V

ii. Turn the power switch to ON.

iii. Turn on the automatic temperature controller.

iv. Adjust the temperature.

v. Paste zinc plate

vi. Use adhesive plaster to paste the front of zinc plate to the gliding place reserved in the paper.

vii. Coat strong glue or glue on the back of zinc plate.

viii. Set the paper with zinc plate on the pressure plate beside Haley.

ix. Pull up the recoil up pole on the recoil position when the temperature is 70-150℃ in thermometer.

x. adjust the pressure adjustment knob to light state.

xi. Then there are two ways to recoil down:

A.    press inch knob

B.    Continuously turn to make electro-thermal aluminum recoil down until it touches the back of zinc plate. Stop for 10-20second when they are in touch.

xii. Then pull apart the paper and adhesive plaster by hand.

xiii. You try a piece of paper to check whether the elevation is in right place. If not, adjust the position of zinc plate immediately.

xiv. Set gold-leaf paper. Note that it’s in right side.

xv. Adjust the length of gold-leaf paper according to the size of gliding plate. Turn clockwise, the gold-leaf paper is longer, while anti-clockwise it’s shorter.

xvi. When the temperature reached target, the green light is on, and then you can test gliding effect.

IV. Simple trouble shooting

i. in general, it has printing unsmooth conditions as follows:

a. double feeding

a). check three tuyeres of the induced draft are parallel with paper or not.

b). whether in right elevation

c). whether the distance between tuyere and paper collecting claw is too big. The right distance please refers to the second detail step.

b. paper feeding block in the middle

a) Check suction of pump is enough or not.

b) The paper is too thick that direct paper feeding can’t feed in, you shall choose retreating paper feeding. The right usage please refers to the third step of machine detail.

c) Check whether the space between paper blocking device and left and right levers is too tight.

c. paper finishing unsmooth


a)check whether the layer is in right position. The right usage please refers to the forth step of machine detail.

b).check whether the baseboard of pressure plate repeats coining. If yes, coat talcum powder or change bottom paper.

d. the machine won’t stop automatically after paper delivery.

a). along the second aspiration channel to its bottom, there is a Bakelite. Check the stopcock on the Bakelite is lockout or not. If it was lockout, please take out and clean it. See figure 2.

ii. forced delivery, clip trouble shooting

In operation, clip lose function because chase or formed type is loose and fall off, hitting the head of clip or locking the clip, and then paper delivery stops.

Trouble shooting method:

Loosen two screws on the top head of clip, turn coining head to 45°angle, and then tighten the two screws in 3m/ml wrench. Then check whether up-and-down clip heads are closely touched when they turn to printing situation. Check the gear between up-and-down clip heads is loose, and whether the spring is loose or broken, whether the cam is blocking, if yes, the operation will be wrong and the machine needs readjustment. Check switch bearing 626ZZ is squeezing or cracked, whether the gear chain is loose, if yes, the machine needs readjustment.

Up clip head will deform with serious strike, and then need to change clip P09. When install and remove up and down clip heads, please pay attention to the degree of tightness of two holders, if too tight, the clip won’t move and dovetail.

iii. Vacuum pump has no wind

a. problem in new machine may be caused by the following situations:

a). male and female set of up and down power cords, check it and tighten them.

b). red rubber tube in the machine hasn’t connected well. Or the filter and black screw of oil cup are loose.

c). pilot valve screens in the bottom of red tube of second aspiration channel need removal and cleaning, then install again.

d). present used vacuum pump made US has overload protection, so restart after 40-60 minutes will return normal.


b. machine after half year usage

a). Air exchange valve accumulated too much oil

b). rubber tubes in the machine is aging

c). low temperature causes rubber tubes aging

d). oil cup of vacuum pump accumulated too much oil, and needs cleaning.

e). bucket valve oil seal of vacuum is aging, and needs change.


iv. Stamping machine trouble shooting

a. instable temperature

a). Temperature detection line is broken, which causes ON, OFF light of temperature light changing all the time. Need to change temperature detection line.

b). the temperature can’t reach the needed temperature. Need to change temperature control or infuriates.

c). Temperature detection line has poor contact. Need to put a 1/4×1/4 stop, and tighten it.


b. gold-leaf move incorrectly

a). clutch wire has poor contact.

b). one-way bearing lose function, need change KK-25.

c). up and down iron inch switch 1704 lose function, and away from bearing.

d). gold-leaf paper is not trim, or the spring too tighten, and need loosen properly.


v. the problem of the machine


a. brand board is not balance, need adjust the four adjustment plates in its back.

b. the layout is not straight, need to make paper blocking plate under the brand board horizontal.

c. up and down iron is not smooth, need to check the spring or operation angle.

d. there is strange sound from the machine. Check whether oil-hole is short of oil, whether spring is conflict with axis.

e. the machine blocked. Cut of power at once. Turn big pulley back by hand. Check crank is blocked or not. Check the reciprocating screw is blocked or not.


vi. Circuit control problems
